Before the start of the IPL 2026 season, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) displayed a heartwarming gesture at their home base, the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The head coach of the team, Justin Langer, and the Director of Cricket, Tom Moody, presented the jerseys to the groundsmen. The move was also a way of thanking the groundsmen for the hard work they do behind the scenes.
The franchise posted photos of the moment on their social media and wrote, “For our groundsmen, straight from our heart.” The move was well appreciated by the fans as it also highlighted the importance of the groundsmen. It also spoke well of the positive vibe in the team as they prepare for the new season.
The LSG has already begun preparations for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Players are already joining the camp as training sessions are underway. The team will return home to play Gujarat Titans on April 12.
