The honorary life membership is one of the highest honours bestowed by the MCC, which is the custodian of the laws of cricket. The club awards this membership to individuals who have made significant contributions to cricket.

MS Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020, is regarded as one of the greatest captains in Indian cricket history. He led India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. He is also known for his calm and composed demeanor on the field.

Mithali Raj, the current captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, is the leading run-scorer in women’s international cricket. She has also led India to the final of the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup.

Yuvraj Singh, who retired from international cricket in 2019, is remembered for his all-round performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. He is also a cancer survivor and has been actively involved in raising awareness about the disease.

Ian Bell played 118 Tests, 161 One Day Internationals, and eight T20 matches for England between 2004 and 2015. He was a key member of the England team that won the 2010 T20 World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

Claire Taylor played 15 Tests, 126 One Day Internationals, and 27 T20 matches for England between 1998 and 2011. She was the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year in 2009 and played a crucial role in England’s triumph in the 2009 ICC Women’s World Cup.
