Watch: Mumbai student roasts Mumbai Indians before Nita Ambani at IPL 2026 — Internet reacts
The Mumbai student roasts the Mumbai Indians franchise before Nita Ambani during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as video goes viral around the social media.

As the Mumbai Indians (MI) faced the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their final league stage clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a video of a Mumbai student roasting the franchise’s performance in this event went viral on social media platforms.
The Hardik Pandya-led side, despite starting the tournament with a massive victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home in a run-fest chase, couldn’t continue the same consistency throughout the tournament and got eliminated before the Playoffs.
What did the student say? The roast lines that left Nita Ambani and the crowd speechless
The student was from the Dhirubhai Ambani International School. He decided to infuse some major IPL energy into the proceedings as he stepped up to the podium. The graduate delivered a witty punchline targeting the five-time champions. Far from being offended by the speech, Nita Ambani was seen visibly happy as she laughed out loud. Watch the video here-
“Just like our beloved Mumbai Indians (MI), there will be tough seasons. Seasons where nothing seems to go right, where the results do not reflect the effort, where you question everything.” The student said as the entire room burst into laughter.
“But if there is one thing this franchise has taught all of us, it’s that you never forget who you are. You never forget your legacy, and you never forget the people standing in your corner. Always remember Duniya Hila Denge Hum.” He concluded.
The rest of the video was captured from various dignitaries, including the founder and the chairperson of the school, Nita Ambani, and the chief guest, PV Sindhu.
From Playoff hopes to punchline — Why Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 season made this roast hit different
Mumbai came into the IPL 2026 with the most balanced and powerful squad, and no one had any doubt about them qualifying for the Playoffs of the season. But cricket doesn’t get played on paper, and this campaign for the franchise reflects the same.
After the opening victory, they experienced four successive defeats before ending the streak with a massive 99-run win over the Gujarat Titans. They again lost three successive clashes and got eliminated from the Playoffs race.
Their Indian premier pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, went through a poor event with just four wickets, while their captain and the senior batters struggled to post massive scores on the board.
