Rohit Sharma took to social media to post a photo that left Indian cricket fans guessing about its meaning. The former Indian captain shared a picture of himself at the Sydney airport with the caption: “One last time, signing off from Sydney.” Earlier on Saturday, Rohit had said that he always enjoyed playing in Australia. After a tough ODI series against long-time rivals, the former captain hinted that this might be his and Virat Kohli’s last visit to the country.

Rohit and Kohli Lead India to Victory

On Saturday, the two iconic batters, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, once again joined forces to save India from a series whitewash. Their unbeaten 168-run partnership helped India secure a nine-wicket win in the third ODI.

“Always love coming here and playing here. Fond memories of 2008. I’m not sure if we’ll be coming back to Australia, but we enjoy our cricket no matter what accolades we achieve," Rohit said after being named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series.

Rohit scored a brilliant 121, while Kohli added 74 runs in India’s win.

Rohit Reflects on the Tour

“We started afresh in Perth — that’s how I look at things," Rohit said, speaking about the challenges of playing in Australia. He also stressed the value of experience and guidance for younger players.

“You expect tough pitches and quality bowlers in Australia. Playing here is never easy. We couldn’t win the series, but there are many positives. It’s a young side, and there will be a lot of learnings," he added.
