Without the service of the premier pacer, Pat Cummins, the bowling lineup of the Sunrisers Hyderabad looked fragile, even when the playing combination was announced for the Rajasthan Royals match. With two debutants in the lineup- Hinge and Sakib Hussai- SRH defeated the table topped by 57 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
While Praful was dominating the field in the SRH colors, his parents kept their eyes on the television screen at their home. As soon as they witnessed their son’s shining performance under the floodlight, they jumped out of the couch in joy.
Prakash Hinge, father of Praful Hinge, said that he is really happy as his son registered history by picking up 3 wickets in his debut over for the team. He thanked the entire Sunrisers team management, coach, and especially Varun Aaron, the bowling coach of SRH, for showing trust in Praful. Prakash also said that he relished the moment thoroughly, as he also used to be a fast bowler. He is hopeful for his son’s bright future.

In the first over of the second innings of the match, when SRH went to defend their first innings total of 216 runs against the Riyan Parag-led team, Praful clinched back-to-back wickets in the first over. After claiming the wicket of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the emerging seamer claimed the scalps of Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius. Later, RR skipper Riyan Parag also could not hold his ground against the debutant.
“I did think about it. Last year, I had written somewhere that whenever I play my first match, I will definitely take four or five wickets. And I wanted to dominate as much as possible in the power play,” Praful Hinge said during the presentation ceremony.
“When I was 13, I told my father that I wanted to join a club. He refused a couple of times, saying I was too young. But somehow, things started from there. After that, I just kept playing. Standing at this stage, it feels really good. I want to dedicate this award to my family. They’ve made a lot of sacrifices for me,” he added further.
