When Rishabh Pant, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain, won the toss and invited the Punjab Kings to bat during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash at the Maharaja Yadavindra Sigh International Stadium in Mullanpur, he perhaps had no idea of what was going to come.

Both the left-handed aggressive batters of the home side, Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly, nailed the visiting bowlers around the park. The bowler, for a moment, seemed to have only the job of delivering the ball and looking into the sky to see the ball sailing out of the park.

The left-arm pacer, Mohsin Khan, didn’t enjoy a great evening against the Punjab batters. The last ball of his fourth over was a short one at Priyansh, who picked the length so early, went back and got under the ball to use his wrist and pulled it over the square leg for a massive six.

On the third ball of the last over inside the powerplay, Mohsin nearly had the best of the batter, who dragged it off the inside edge as it rolled through the backward square leg for a boundary. The very next delivery was sent into the stands over the long leg for another six.
