Rajeev Shukla lashes out at Shoaib Malik, ARY Network for spreading ‘False news’, shares original video
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla lashed out at Shoaib Malik and ARY Network for spreading a fake video on social media.

The buzz and hype around the India vs Pakistan clash at every ICC event is sky-high. The viewers like watching a high-intensity rivalry, while the boards and broadcasters enjoy the revenue generated from the encounter. Hence, ICC organises the groups in such a way that these arch-rivals meet at least once in every tournament.
But recently, Pakistan decided to boycott the encounter against India in the group stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, showcasing their support for Bangladesh. But, a few days before the clash, Pakistan have taken a turn and have agreed to ICC to play against India in Colombo on Sunday.
Amidst these, Rajeev Shukla, the Vice-President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), found himself in a controversial position when one of his recent videos was AI-altered and presented to the world in a twisted manner. In a Pakistani cricket show, hosted by former cricketer Shoaib Malik, the audio of Rajeev Shukla's real video was changed and put in front of the viewers.
As per Pakistani TV Network ARY news, Rajeev Shukla said, "I am delighted to see the outcome of the deliberations initiated by the ICC representative on the repeated requests by BCCI to convince Pakistan to play against India. It’s a good solution, an amicable solution which has been found to give priority to cricket, important to the game. This is what has been done."

Rajeev Shukla shares original video, lashes out at Shoaib Malik
BCCI Vice President, Rajeev Shukla, took to his Twitter account to share the original video where he expressed his gratitude to ICC for taking prompt action and speaking with Pakistan to solve the differences ahead of the clash on Sunday. He was furious with the way Pakistani media changed the narrative and showcased it in their media channels. Moreover, in his original video, he tagged Shoaib Malik and ARY News to prove them wrong.
“I would like to thank the ICC chairman (Jay Shah) and its office-bearers on behalf of the BCCI for finding a very good solution. After discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Bangladesh Cricket Board, and after listening to all sides, this decision has been taken," Shukla had said.
“This decision is very important for cricket. Cricket must go on and the World Cup will now be a big success. This is a big achievement as far as the ICC is concerned. Even the Bangladesh Cricket Board has praised the ICC, so it has listened to all sides and arrived at the decision after taking into consideration the interests of everyone," he had added.
