The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pulled off an all-round show against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 to script their place in the final with a huge 92 runs win in Dharamsala. After the match, former RCB owner Vijay Mallya praised the team on social media for their great performance.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar led from the front with a sensational unbeaten innings of 93 runs off just 33 balls. His explosive batting helped the defending champions post a massive total of 254/5 after being asked to bat first by Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill.
The victory also helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru reach their second straight IPL final. RCB completely dominated both with bat and ball and never allowed Gujarat Titans to settle in the match.

After RCB’s huge win, Vijay Mallya shared a special message for the team on X. He congratulated the players and praised the way they performed in the big Qualifier 1 clash.
Mallya wrote, “Many Many congratulations to RCB namma dodda Simhagulu for an emphatic victory in Dharamshala tonight. You roared loud like the Lions of Bengaluru and roared into the IPL final as defending champions.”
His post quickly went viral among RCB fans on social media. Many supporters reacted positively and celebrated the team reaching another IPL final after such a dominant performance.

RCB started aggressively after losing the toss. Venkatesh Iyer played a quick innings of 19 runs off just seven balls, while Virat Kohli scored 43 runs from 25 deliveries. Devdutt Padikkal also got a good start before Jason Holder dismissed both Kohli and Padikkal in the same over.
The match completely changed after Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya built a brilliant partnership. Krunal scored 43 runs off 28 balls, while Patidar destroyed the GT bowling attack with nine sixes and five fours. RCB scored 114 runs in the final six overs and finished with a huge total of 254/5.

In reply, Gujarat Titans lost Sai Sudharsan, Indian captain Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler very early in the chase. Jacob Duffy, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Rasikh Salam completely destroyed GT’s top order during the powerplay. Rahul Tewatia fought hard with 68 runs off 43 balls, but the target proved too big for Gujarat Titans. GT were eventually bowled out for 162 runs as RCB sealed a massive 92-run victory and reached their fifth IPL final.
