Rohit Sharma shared his thoughts on Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s comeback to India’s T20I side on his new show, 'Family Full House with Rohit Sharma'. The former India captain expressed hope that the experienced pacer would perform well in the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

Bhuvneshwar has returned to the Indian team after a four-year absence. He was included in the squad for the fifth T20I against the West Indies and was also named in the playing XI. However, rain forced the match to be abandoned without him bowling a single over.

Bhuvneshwar will now look to make an impact in the series against New Zealand, which begins on October 22. Speaking about the pacer on his show, Rohit said, “We will head to New Zealand. I'm hopeful he will deliver an outstanding performance.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s India return: What happens next against New Zealand

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s impressive performances for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL have helped him earn another call-up to the Indian team. Despite being signed for ₹10.75 crore, the experienced pacer faced doubts about his chances of returning to the national side. However, he answered his critics with the ball, taking 17 wickets in 14 matches in IPL 2025 and 28 wickets in 16 matches in IPL 2026.
