Through the video, viewers can see how Gambhir praised the brilliance of Rohit Sharma. Gambhir said that it was only Sharma who offered his sleepless nights during the Indian Premier League when the former cricketer was the mentor of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

The former opener, who helped Kolkata Knight Riders to become the champion in the IPL 2024 season, revealed that it was neither Chris Gayle nor AB De Villiers; it was only Rohit who caused Gautam Gambhir enough headache. The video we are talking about was actually shared on social media platforms by Star Sports on February 17, 2024. Gambhir claimed that he never made any plan for any specific batters, whether it was Gayle or Villiers, except Sharma. For Sharma, Gambhir had to keep Plan A, Plan B, or even Plan C ready. After all that planning, he was not sure if it was enough to stop the batter. 

The IPL 2024 season proved to be one of the most impactful campaigns in recent years for Rohit Sharma. In that season, the Mumbaikar smashed a hundred as well for the Mumbai Indians. In 14 games and 14 innings, the right-handed batter accumulated 417 runs at a batting average of 32.04.

Gautam Gambhir said about he impact of Rohit Sharma in IPL 

But as a team, over the Mumbai Indians, it was the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) that emerged as the best team of the season, where Gambhir was the mentor of the Kolkata-based franchise. 

Sharma, at the age of 38, is still going well with his batting duties. During the recently concluded Australia vs. India white ball series, India faced the home team for a 3-match ODI series before the 5-match T20I contest. In the 3rd match of the ODI series, Sharma smashed an unbeaten 121-run knock, and in the second game, he scored 73 runs.
