During an old podcast with the former batter of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Ab de Villiers, amidst the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the wicket-keeper batter, Jitesh Sharma, made a comment that was trolled later in the campaign as he couldn’t contribute with the bat.

There were many occasions in the competition when Bengaluru needed their lower-order batter to get some fiery runs, especially in the death overs (16-20). But Jitesh Sharma hasn’t been able to put bat on bat. His keeping has been fantastic, but at some stage, he would need to make his bat talk.
RCB mocks Jitesh Sharma’s old comment in IPL 2026
During a recent RCB podcast with Mr. Nags, the batter was trolled for his previous comment. After that, the right-hander was about to take his shoes off and hit Nags as the funny video went viral on social media platforms.

Jitesh claimed that he would always pray to god for their top order to collapse, which could open the door for him to be in the middle and score some runs with the bat. But despite getting the chance, he hasn’t been able to deliver.
“You won’t believe, I always pray to God, let my top order get collapsed, and I can bat and score. I see it as an opportunity to become a hero. I always visualize such innings in my life. I am such a person; I have always wanted to do something magical.” The Baroda batter expressed in an interaction.

“Being in the present, focus on your breathing, seeing the scoreboard, what’s required, what’s not required, calculating such things, being yourself, I think, helps me to handle that pressure. I see it as an opportunity to become a hero. I always visualize such innings in my life. I am such a person; I have always wanted to do something magical.” He addressed.
The 32-year-old has collected 63 runs in seven innings at an average of nine and a strike rate of 112.50 with the best score of 23.
