SCL 2025, Match 18: Band-e-Amir Dragons vs Mis-e-Ainak Knights full match highlights

In Match 18 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), Mis-e-Ainak Knights put on a fantastic all-round performance to defeat Band-e-Amir Dragons by 72 runs at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. After being put in, the Knights put up an impressive total of 264/2 in their 20 overs before bowling out the Dragons for 192 in just 17.3 overs to register their fifth win of the season.

The Knights’ batting was nothing short of sensational, as all three top batters smashed fifties in a brutal display of power-hitting. Wafiullah was the aggressor-in-chief, scoring 78 off just 35 balls with clean strikes all around the park. He was ably aided by Farmanullah Safi, who thumped 72 off 28 balls, and captain Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who played a calm yet combative knock of 70 from 39 balls. The trio combined to take Mis Ainak to their highest total of the season. The Dragons’ bowlers had no answers, with Gulbadin Naib (1/37), Khalil Ahmed (1/47), and Izharulhaq Naveed (0/26 in 2) struggling to contain the runs.

Chasing an enormous target of 265, the Dragons got off to a decent start but failed to keep up with the climbing required rate. Mohammad Haroon Khan tried to inject momentum with a quickfire 40 off 16 balls, while skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi chipped in with 35 off 24. Gulbadin Naib added a brisk 30 from 14, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to resist the Knights’ pressure. Mis Ainak’s bowlers, led by Bilal Sami (2/29), Mujeeb-ur-Rahman (2/36), and Ziaur Rahman Sharifi (2/38), kept chipping away with regular wickets to bowl out the Dragons for 192 in 17.3 overs.
