During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, a viral video sparked dating rumours between actress Shehnaaz Gill and the RCB star, Devdutt Padikkal. 

The actress was seen to be cheering from the stands in the Bengaluru shirt, and her videos quickly triggered speculation online about her alleged relationship with the left-handed batter. Even though there is no confirmation of the rumours, many have linked it to create a major talking point for the fans.

A few days ago, Shehnaaz posted a video of her happiness in the short of the franchise when Bengaluru got the better of the Mumbai Indians in Raipur during the previous IPL 2026 clash on the very last ball by eight wickets.

Her energetic reactions immediately caught attention online, with the fans questioning whether her support for the side had a personal relation. So far, neither Gill nor Padikkal has responded to the dating rumours. Interestingly, the two don’t even follow each other on Instagram at present, which is a big thing these days.

Apart from the rumours, Shehnaaz was seen to be sharing a pleasing moment with the former Indian head coach and the renowned commentators, Ravi Shastri. The actress posted a picture with him on social media.

In terms of Padikkal’s contribution with the bat, he smashed 39 runs off 27 balls at a strike rate of 144.44, thanks to seven boundaries. The left-handed batter opened his account with two successive boundaries. He used the pace of Kartik Tyagi into the pads and timed it into the vacant fine leg region before cracking the short ball into the square on the off-side for the same result.

Even against Sunil Narine, the Karnataka star smashed two successive boundaries in the fifth over before pulling the short ball through the square leg against the left-arm spinner, Anukul Roy. He was finally dismissed in an attempt to put his feet on the accelerator, and was done by the slower delivery of Tyagi.

However, Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 105 runs off 60 balls at a strike rate of 175, thanks to 11 boundaries and three sixes to shoulder them over the line by six wickets against the Knight Riders. The defending champions have now moved to the top of the points table with eight wins in 12 games.
