Shubman Gill returns to No. 1 in ICC ODI batters' rankings, overtakes Daryl Mitchell
Shubman Gill has returned to the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI batters' rankings, reclaiming the top position after an impressive performance against England. The India captain scored 188 runs in the three-match ODI series in mid-July, helping him move ahead in the latest rankings. This is the third time Gill has reached the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings.
Gill's rise was also helped by New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell, who missed the last two ODIs against the West Indies due to injury.
