SRH vs KKR Match Report IPL 2026 – Who Won Today and Key Moments That Decided the Game
KKR beat SRH comfortably as Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s 59 and a strong team effort helped them chase 166 with ease in IPL 2026.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets in Match 45 of the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 3 in Hyderabad. KKR played better in both bowling and batting to win the match easily and earn two important points.
SRH batted first after winning the toss. Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma gave a fast start with 44 runs in just a few overs. Abhishek got out early, but Travis Head continued and scored a quick 61 runs. Ishan Kishan also performed well, scoring 42 runs. However, despite that, SRH could only able to score 165 runs as the bowlers from KKR kept taking wickets.
KKR bowlers did a very good job and got all wickets in 19 overs. Varun Chakravarthy took 3 wickets and controlled the game in the middle overs. Sunil Narine took 2 wickets and bowled tight overs. Other bowlers also supported well and did not allow SRH to score freely in the last overs.

While chasing, KKR started well with Finn Allen scoring quick 29 runs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane added 43 runs and kept things steady. Angkrish Raghuvanshi played a calm innings and scored 59 runs. Rinku Singh finished the match with quick runs of 22 in 11 balls. While SRH bowlers including Pat Cummins, Shivang Kumar, and Sakib Hussain bagged a single wicket each, they failed to contain the flow of runs or put any kind of pressure. KKR chased the target easily in 18.2 overs.

SRH opener Travis Head came out blazing and smashed 61 off 28 balls to take his side to a commanding 71-run powerplay.

After a decent opening, the innings of SRH was completely wrecked by KKR's spinners. Varun Chakravarthy (3 wickets) and Sunil Narine (2 wickets) dominated the middle overs. While bowling his economical spell, Narine created history as he became the first foreign player to claim 200 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Following the early dismissal of Finn Allen, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane (43) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (59) held the innings together by putting up an 84-run stand.

Rinku Singh hammered an unbeaten 22 off 11 balls to give the finishing touches for KKR to seal the victory and two crucial points.
