Star Royal Challengers Bengaluru player secretly marries ahead of Indian Premier League 2026 amid ongoing case speculation
The star player of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru has tied knot in a secret marriag in the presence of the family members ahead of the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Just two weeks before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the left-arm pacer for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Yash Dayal, has reportedly married the content creator, Shweata Pundir, in a private ceremony, which was held last month, as the pictures have gone viral on social media.
Meanwhile, Yash Dayal hasn’t announced the marriage on social media as Shweta shared the video reel of being the couple on her Instagram account. It’s massive news for the pacer, who has been under a few controversies ahead of the IPL 2026.
RCB star ties the knot in private ceremony before IPL 2026
The wedding of Yash Dayal has coincided with a period of legal controversies for the left-arm fast bowler. In one of the cases, a woman had accused him of sexually exploiting her for several years under the promise of marriage. However, at the start of the ongoing year, the Rajasthan Court granted him the anticipatory bail.
It provides significant relief after a lower court had rejected the plea, as it raised the possibility of arrest. The reports have claimed that the ceremony was a low-key affair among the family and the friends, with no massive figures from the cricketing fraternity.
The 28-year-old has picked up 41 wickets in 43 innings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at an average of 33.90 and a strike rate of 21.2 with an economy rate of 9.57, thanks to the fine bowling figures of 3/20 in an innings.
Is Yash Dayal cleared in the case? Here’s what reports suggest
Dayal faced a serious allegation involving the minor as a young cricketer from Jaipur claimed that the pacer promised to help advance her career and later assaulted her sexually when she was only 17, as the incident took place in 2023, and an FIR was filed at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station.
The Rajasthan Court granted interim protection to the left in the chase as his anticipatory bail application was rejected by the court, handing cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, which prompts the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player to approach the High Court for being released.
His lawyer, Chandrashekhar Sharma, also argued that the FIR was filed nearly two years after the incident and maintained that Dayal had met the complainant in public.
