Star Sports Mock Auction Results: Record bid for Cameron Green, KKR rope in Bairstow

The final countdown to the iPL 2026 auction has begun. Ahead of the event, Star Sports hosted a mock auction to give the cricket fans an idea about what is going to happen in the acution.

The final countdown to the IPL 2026 auction has begun. Ahead of the event, Star Sports hosted a mock auction to give the cricket fans an idea about what is going to happen in the acution, which will begin at 2:30 PM IST on Tuesday, December 16. 

Alligning perfectly with the hype on social media platfroms, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green got the record deal. For INR 30.50 Cr, Green joined roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), as it was expected before. After spending the staggering amount for the Aussie pace bowling all-rounder KKR bought experenced England opener Jonny Bairstow for only INR 2.5 Cr. 

Among the Indian players, it was the spinner Ravi Bishnoi who received the maximum amount from the mock auction. Ravi Bishnoi sold to Rajasthan Royals (RR) for 11.5 cr. Before concluding the programme, Indian pacer Navdeep Saini also joined RR for 1.75 Cr.

On the other side, there were some star overseas players who remained unsold during the mock auction. No buyers for Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, while star Indian batters Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan got lucrative deal-  2.75 Cr and 7 Cr respectivly. All-rounder Venkatesh Iyer went to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for INR 6 Cr.
