“This Is So Not Done” - Mohammad Kaif slams Mehidy Hasan after Salman Agha’s unusual run-out in BAN vs PAK ODI
Mohammad Kaif criticized Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan after Pakistan batter Salman Ali Agha was dismissed in a controversial run-out during the second ODI in Dhaka.

Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha was dismissed in an unusual and controversial manner in the second ODI against Bangladesh played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The incident happened in the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings. At the time of the incident, Pakistan was looking to build a good partnership in the game. However, the unusual dismissal of the batsman was the main talking point of the game.
Agha was batting alongside Mohammad Rizwan when the incident occurred. Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled a delivery that Rizwan gently pushed down the ground. The ball rolled towards the non-striker’s end where Agha was standing outside his crease after backing up. As the ball hit his pads, Agha picked it up and handed it back.
Miraz quickly grabbed the ball and broke the stumps while Agha was still outside the crease. The Bangladesh skipper appealed for a run-out, and the on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire. After reviewing the incident, the third umpire ruled in Bangladesh’s favour and Agha was given out.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kaif wrote: "This is so not done. No desperation of getting wickets can justify this run out. That too from a captain. Youngsters please remember, even if the World Cup final is on the line never do what the Bangladesh skipper did. Sports without fair play is no sports."
The incident also led to discussions between players from both teams on the field. Rizwan was seen talking with the Bangladesh players, while Litton Das defended Miraz’s appeal. Meanwhile, Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 274 in 47.3 overs, with Maaz Sadaqat scoring the highest with 75 runs. Pakistan had already lost the first match of the series, making this game crucial for their chances.
