India commenced the Day 2 with Karun Nair and Washington Sundar at the crease. But Nair stay was halted as Josh Tongue picked his wicket. Soon after Washington Sundar departed and the English bowlers took no time to dismiss the tailenders.

India ended their innings with just 224 runs on the board. Nair remained the highest scorer for India with 57 runs followed by Sai Sudharsan’s gritty 38 runs off 108 balls. One glaring aspect of the India’s batting collapse was that the tailenders accounted to zero runs.
