After the breath-taking knock of 97 runs off 29 balls during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Eliminator against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has become the major talking point of the event and has reportedly received a blank cheque for a bat ahead of the second qualifier.

At the same venue, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener will hope to continue the same aggressive approach against the formidable bowling department of the Gujarat Titans in the second qualifier 2, as the winner will progress into the final of the event.

Which brand made the blank cheque offer — And why did they choose Qualifier 2 eve to make their move?

With Sooryavanshi’s bat sponsorship deal coming to an end, several corporates, including some of the leading tyre brands, have lined up to sign him. The reports have claimed that the 15-year-old has become a hot property after one sponsor even offered him a blank cheque to secure his endorsement.

With his current bat sponsor offering him mere INR 50 lakh per year, and other brands being prepared to go for a three-year deal, Sooryavanshi is now in the process of overtaking some of the biggest stars of Indian cricket, including Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma.

With some of the top Indian players commanding endorsement deals ranging from INR 3 crore to as much as INR 8 crore per year, the reports have stated that the youngster could be offered a huge price of INR 12 crore for his bat sponsorship, which is 24 times more than his previous bat sponsorship deal.

If Rishabh Pant, who is only playing one format, can demand 8 annually, it is quite obvious that Sooryavanshi has hit the roof with his sensational batting. The reports have been added.

From 680 runs at 15 to a blank cheque bat deal — Sooryavanshi is now cricket's most valuable endorsement target

Sooryavanshi, heading into the IPL 2026 second qualifier, is the leading run-getter of the event with 680 runs in 15 innings. The southpaw has an average of 45.33 and a blistering strike rate of 242.85, thanks to four half-centuries and one century at the best score of 103 runs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Such figures are difficult to keep him away from the huge batting sponsorship deals. The bat makers can stretch only up to INR 5 crore, often with performance-based bonuses being attached.

The tyre giants, such as MRF and CEAT, are getting the heavy deals on the bats of the Bihar-born.

Can Sooryavanshi show his worth with another match-winning knock in GT vs RR Qualifier 2 Tonight?

In the opening position against the Pat Cummins-led side, the India opener bashed 97 runs in 29 balls at a strike rate of 334.85, thanks to five boundaries and 12 sixes. He has already overtaken Chris Gayle’s record of most sixes in an IPL season with 65 over boundaries.
