The win marked yet another special moment for Virat Kohli, who has played his entire IPL career with RCB and finally had another championship-winning campaign with the franchise.

Virat Kohli looked back on RCB's successful IPL 2026 campaign with an emotional message on social media. Sharing a video of the team's journey, Kohli highlighted the bond within the squad and what the title meant to him.
He wrote: "Started the season with belief. Ended with back to back titles. 🏆 This team lived every emotion together. The highs, the pressure, the hurdles, and the unwavering support. It feels extra special because… this place is HOME! ❤️ @RCBTweets"

The post was widely shared among RCB fans and many of them heaped praise on Kohli for his loyalty to the franchise. After playing for Bengaluru for 18 years, the IPL title celebrations added spice to the moment for the former-India captain.
Besides another IPL trophy, Kohli also had a great season with the bat. He amassed 675 runs in 16 innings at an average of 56.25 and a strike rate of 165.84 with one century and five fifties

Kohli was a massive part of RCB's triumphant win against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final. RCB began chasing 156 with a blazing start as Kohli and Venkatesh Iyer shared a 62-run opening stand.
Kohli reached his fifty in just 25 balls, the fastest half-century of his IPL career. He remained unbeaten on 75 off 42 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes to guide RCB comfortably to the target.
Earlier, RCB's bowlers restricted Gujarat Titans to 155/8 in 20 overs. Washington Sundar top-scored with an unbeaten 50, while Rasikh Salam starred with figures of 3/27. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood also picked up two wickets each.
RCB completed the chase with five wickets in hand and successfully defended their IPL title. More than a week later, Kohli's emotional message reminded fans just how much the franchise means to him and why the latest title was one of the most special moments of his career.
