Watch: Virat Kohli's excellent diving catch dismisses KL Rahul for 57 during RCB vs DC clash in IPL 2026
Virat Kohli grabbed a superb diving catch in the outfield to dismiss the Delhi Capitals opener, KL Rahul, during the RCB vs DC clash in the Indian Premier League 2026.

The Delhi Capitals didn’t make a great start to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the 176-run chase at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They kept losing regular wickets inside the power play to increase the pressure on themselves.
But RCB had the memories of KL Rahul bailing them out of trouble in such circumstances in the past. The Karnataka batter is fully familiar with the condition and decided to take on the defending champions, despite being under pressure of losing wickets.
Virat Kohli grabs splendid catch to dismiss KL Rahul in IPL 2026
Rahul picked up the full-length delivery outside the off stump as he cleared his front leg even before the ball was delivered from Josh Hazlewood. The ball went over the extra cover region for a massive six. He timed another over boundary against the same bowler in the fifth over as the ball was whipped over the deep square leg region.
The right-handed batter thumped two successive boundaries against the right-arm pacer. He was the glue for the Capitals in the middle as he also counterattacked the leg spinner, Suyash Sharma, for two boundaries before celebrating his half-century in 30 deliveries.

But Bengaluru didn’t let the opening batter celebrate much by sending him back for 57 runs in 34 balls, scoring six boundaries and a couple of sixes.
On the first delivery of the 11th over, KL came down the track and looked to loft the tossed-up delivery from Krunal Pandya, with the ball going up in the air. Virat Kohli charged in, and as the ball dipped on him, he stretched his two hands and grabbed it quite easily. It wasn’t a simple catch, but as the best fielders do, they make it look like a great catch.
DC struggles in 176-run chase against RCB
For Bengaluru, Phil Salt was the key member with a fine knock of 63 runs off 38 balls with the help of four boundaries and three sixes at a strike rate of 165.79. Even Tim David cracked a dashing knock of 26 runs in 17 balls.
For Delhi, the eyes were on Tristan Stubbs, who was undefeated on 41 runs in 36 balls. But they saw their captain, Axar Patel, leaving the field with cramps on 26 runs in 19 balls.
Brief Scores: DC 160/4 (T Stubbs 58*, KL Rahul 57, Bhuvneshwar Kumar 3/26) vs RCB- 175/8 (Phil Salt 63, Axar Patel 2/18, Kuldeep Yadav 2/32)
