Washington Sundar ruled out of IND vs NZ ODI series: Report
After the injury of Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar also suffered an injury. According to fresh reports, the spin-bowling all-rounder has ruled out of the remaining two matches of the 3-match ODI series between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ).

Back-to-back injuries hit Team India ahead of the T20I World Cup, which is scheduled to start in February this year. After the injury of Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar also suffered an injury. According to fresh reports, the spin-bowling all-rounder has ruled out of the remaining two matches of the 3-match ODI series between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ).
Team India has started the ongoing ODI series with a commanding win against New Zealand. The hosts were brilliant with their batting duties. It was their bowling department which might have caused a little bit of worry. Additionally, the injury of Washington Sundar is considered a major setback for the team.
According to media reports, Sundar was injured while bowling in the first ODI, leaving the field after bowling five overs. Dhruv Jurel replaced him as a substitute fielder. He is suffering from rib pain, which forced him out of the remaining two matches of the IND vs NZ ODI series.

Washington Sundar ruled out of IND vs NZ ODI series
The track in Vadodara was a batting-friendly surface where batters from both teams enjoyed batting while bowlers faced difficulties. Before walking out of the field, Sundar bowled 5 overs without taking a single wicket against an economy rate of 5.40. For India, it was the pace bowling unit which caused most of the damage to the New Zealand batting. Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, and Mohammed Siraj each got a brace.
Batting first, New Zealand scored 300 runs against 8 wickets in 50 overs. Team India needed 49 overs to chase down the target. Virat Kohli was named Man of the Match for his Player of the Match 93-run knock in 91 deliveries. Captain Shubman Gill got a half-century, while Shreyas Iyer missed his half-century for only 1 run.
