[WATCH] Abhishek Sharma starts India's chase with first-ball six during IND vs UAE Match 2
Watch the video where India's left-handed opening batter, Abhishek Sharma, has started the chase in the second innings with a six on the very first ball against the United Arab Emirates in Men's Asia Cup 2025.

When India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and decided to bowl first against the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, it was expected to be a one-sided and early finish clash. And it didn’t actually complete 20 overs across the two innings as India showed their clinical performance with the bat and ball in hand.
Despite a good start with the bat, when Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in the ninth over of the innings, it was known that the UAE would roll over for a low score in the first innings. Shivam Dube also picked up three wickets in the clash to bundle out the opponents for 57 runs in the first innings of 13.1 overs.

Many expected India to start on a high, and it was proved when Abhishek Sharma smashed the very first ball of the second innings for a six. He lifted Haider Ali over the long-off region for an over boundary to send a strong message. He joined Rohit Sharma, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal to hit the first ball of a T20I innings with a six.

On the second ball of the innings, Abhishek made room and cleared the extra-cover region for a boundary. He got full support from Shubman Gill, who drilled Muhammed Rohid Khan for a boundary through the point region. Gill ended the second over of the innings with a six that he flicked over deep square leg of the second innings.
Abhishek Sharma nailed Dhruv Parashar for a six as he generated incredible power on the back foot and continued to showcase the same dominance with a boundary. The southpaw drilled another six over the backward square-leg fence before getting dismissed for 30 runs in 16 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes.
India completed the chase in 4.3 overs with nine wickets in hand. That was the second most balls being left with a full member team winning the encounter. They now prepare themselves for the next clash against Pakistan on September 14 at the same ground.
