The 42nd encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB batted first and had a great start to the innings with Virat Kohli taking on Kagiso Rabada. He hit five consecutive boundaries off Rabada in the second over.
In today's game, RCB lost Jacob Bethell early, and after that, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Soon after scoring the boundaries, Kohli was also dismissed. The Shubman Gill-led team are looking in good form as they have managed to send half of the RCB team back to the pavilion.

Kagiso Rabada, one of the best bowlers in the GT team, dismissed Virat Kohli after being hit for five consecutive boundaries in the previous over. He scripted a brilliant revenge in the fourth over. He dug in with a short, sharp delivery aimed around middle and leg, using pace and bounce to trouble the batter. Kohli, who had looked in fine touch, attempted to take him on once again by advancing down the pitch.
However, the extra pace hurried Kohli into an awkward shot, causing him to lose his shape while playing across the line. The ball took a top edge and ballooned towards mid-wicket, where Rashid Khan completed a safe catch. Rabada celebrated passionately, giving Kohli a stare as he walked back, marking a crucial turning point in the contest.
