[Watch] IPL 2026: Mitchell Marsh smashes magnificent six off Deepak Chahar in LSG vs MI clash

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have got off to a great start in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Lucknow. Mitchell Marsh started with a brilliant knock in the power play, helping LSG post 90 runs. This was indeed an incredible effort from the team despite being at the bottom of the points table. 

Meanwhile, Marsh hit a six off Deepak Chahar on the second ball of the innings, giving pure joy to the home crowd. The fans have come out in numbers to support their home team in Lucknow today. Moreover, MI also have a huge fan base, and they are seen with a blue flag inside the stadium.

Mitchell Marsh slams six off Deepak Chahar in IPL 2026

LSG's opener Mitchell Marsh hit an outstanding six off Deepak Chahar in the IPL 2026. After mistiming the first ball of the innings, Marsh confidently hit the second ball into the stands. The crowd erupted in joy as the player looked in full mood to bash the MI bowlers. Marsh went on to punish Jasprit Bumrah as well in the later part of the innings. 

Chahar tried to shorten the length to trouble the batter, but Marsh picked up the length quite well and pulled the ball towards the deep mid-wicket region. The bowler wasn't pleased with the six, but LSG players were happy with the runs. The right-handed batter was dismissed on 44 runs off 25 balls, including five boundaries and four sixes by Corbin Bosch.
