[Watch] IPL 2026: Varun Chakaravarthy removes Travis Head to give massive breakthrough in SRH vs KKR clash

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The home team players, especially openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, are in great form and have not failed to give a cracking start to the innings. Even in today's match, Head went on to slam a half-century, but Abhishek was dismissed early. 

By the 15th over, SRH looked in chaos as Head was also dismissed in the eighth over. He gave a brilliant start to the innings but was out in the tenth over, giving the opposition a massive advantage. Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Head and got the much-needed breakthrough.

Travis Head gets out to Varun Chakaravarthy in IPL 2026

Varun Chakaravarthy provided a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Travis Head after a blistering knock in the IPL 2026 clash. Bowling a quicker delivery through the air, Chakaravarthy cleverly rushed the batter, who had been dominating the innings. Head, looking to continue his aggressive approach, picked the length early and attempted a pull towards the leg side. 

The ball travelled high but lacked timing, landing safely in the hands of Cameron Green at deep mid-wicket. Green executed a clean reverse-cupped catch, completing his second grab of the day. Head’s impressive innings of 61 off 28 balls, laced with nine boundaries and three sixes, came to an end, giving his team a much-needed breakthrough at a crucial stage of the match.
