It was a moment that went unnoticed during the T20 World Cup 2026 clash between West Indies and South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium during the Super 8 clash, as the two players were engaged in a heated moment during the first innings of the game. On the fourth delivery of the halfway mark, the incident took place between the South African pacer and the West Indies batter.

The pacer was Marco Jansen, who had a word with the batter, Matthew Forde, on the third ball of the tenth over as the pacer shortened the length and pushed one across the batter, who poked and got beaten on the outside edge. On the very next delivery of the over, Jansen went with the same type of ball.

Forde was already on his backfoot and prepared to use the power to play the big shot. He picked the length early and swiveled across and hammered the pull over the wide mid-wicket for a massive six, as the bowler again had a word with the batter, to which Forde responded.

The next two balls of the over ended in dots as the umpire had a slight conversation with the batter, who was shocked, as the reaction shows on the video, which went viral on social media platforms. However, he couldn’t stay longer at the crease and was dismissed for 11 runs as he failed to pick the slower ball and was run out at deep.
