 ST-W vs MR-W

The Women’s Big Bash League 2025 will move to Match No. 21 on Sunday, November 23, with Sydney Thunder Women (ST-W) playing against Melbourne Renegades Women (MR-W) at the Drummoyne Oval in Sydney. Both sides have had contrasting journeys thus far and will be looking to strengthen their spots on the table.

The Sydney Thunder Women, captained by Phoebe Litchfield, are placed fifth on the points table. After their three losses in a row at the start of the season, they have come back very strongly, winning the last two games on the trot against Perth Scorchers Women and Brisbane Heat Women. The Thunder will want to keep this winning streak alive and climb up the ladder further.

The Melbourne Renegades Women, the defending champions, are sitting at second place with three wins and two losses. They are coming into this match after a DLS defeat against the Hobart Hurricanes Women. Even though they have had a good season so far, the Renegades will want to bounce back quickly and maintain their strong position in the standings.

ST-W vs MR-W: Pitch Report

Drummoyne Oval typically presents a good balance of conditions for batters and bowlers alike. Batters can score freely once they settle in but bowlers who assess conditions well will see good movement and bounce. Powerplay overs will play an important role for both teams, as fast runs early set up the innings. Evening conditions may assist bowlers slightly more.
