The South Africa Women’s team (SA-W) will face the Bangladesh Women’s team (BAN-W) in match number 14 of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 on Monday, October 13, at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

The Proteas are confident after winning back-to-back victories over India and New Zealand, having made a remarkable recovery from their opening loss against England. Last time they played, South Africa showed resilience to chase down a target of 252 runs against India, winning with three wickets and seven balls remaining. Captain Laura Wolvaardt led the way, while Chloe Tryon and Nadine de Klerk wrapped up another great victory in the end.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh have suffered two consecutive losses to qualify comfortably from their first match against Pakistan. The Nigar Sultana-led side have struggled to find a rhythm especially batting, and have endured two massive defeats to England and New Zealand. Bangladesh will need a strong bowling performance and greater middle-order support as they going into a match against a confident South Africa.
