Yuvraj Singh reportedly visited Ahemdabad ahead of IND vs SA T20 WC 2026 clash to help Abhishek Sharma

Despite recording a hat-trick of ducks, the Indian team management is expected to maintain their trust in Abhishek Sharma. Ahead of India's Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026with South Africa, the opener spent a significant amount of time in the nets. It is reported that Sharma looked more mentally boosted than before and batted well in the nets. 

Indian cricket fans may not be surprised if the opener bounces back from the bad patch during their match against South Africa on February 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

It is further claimed that Yuvraj Singh, former India cricketer and Abhishek Sharma's mentor, visited Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to show support to his student. Abhishek's father might have requested Yuvraj Singh to help his son during the low phase of his career.

Yuvraj Singh went to Ahmedabad to support Abhishek Sharma 

Before the 2026 T20 World Cup, Abhishek Sharma was in fantastic form. Even during the 5-match T20I series with New Zealand, which was right before the T20 World Cup, the left-handed batter scored runs with ease. Indian cricket fans were expecting to see some bombastic batting from him since the team's opening match of the competition.

Proving most of the predictions, Abhishek Sharma got three ducks in a row. Against the United States, Pakistan, and the Netherlands, Sharma returned without scoring a single run. The team management believes that the explosive batter can find his rhythm back at any point. South Africa will also be prepared for the batter, as they are well aware how dangerous Abhishek Sharma can be.
