Allan Border comes in fourth place on the list. The legendary figure of Australian and world cricket played 42 matches against their greatest rival. From 1978 to 1993, during this time span, Border played 42 matches to score 3,222 runs at an average of 55.55. His batting average is powered by seven 100s and nineteen 50s. It is believed that his best Ashes moment was the second Test of the 1985 series at Lord's. He named the player of the match for scoring 196 and 41 not out, helping Australia chase down a fourth-innings target. Though, his unbeaten 200 was his best individual score in The Ashes history.
