Match 2 of the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup sees West Indies Women and England Women go head to head on Saturday afternoon at Boland Park. West Indies Women did not progress past the group stage in the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup with England reaching the semi-final. Although West Indies Women have some very talented players, very few of them would get into England Women’s XI. England Women are rightly one of the favourites for this tournament and have an excellent recent record over.

This is a good batting wicket with consistent bounce. Any score above 180 will be very hard to chase down in the second innings of the game. It is going to be very hot and sunny across this afternoon fixture in Paarl.
No Injury. Will be added when there is an update

West Indies Women struggled to compete with England Women in both the batting and bowling departments in their WT20I and ODI series last year. England Women have far stronger players across both line-ups. Although both teams have won one Women’s T20 World Cup each, West Indies Women are considered to be far behind England Women in the current state of the teams. West Indies Women will be very reliant on Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor whereas England Women’s team is full of match-winners. Considering the team combination, England-W is expected to win this match.
