Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers Today Match Prediction On Tuesday, January 4, the Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers will face off at the Carrara Oval in Queensland in Match No. 34 of the Big Bash League 2021-22. Due to a paucity of runs from its top-order, the Brisbane Heat has struggled this season. Only two of its batters have cumulatively scored more than 200 runs, and only one has scored more than 100.
This is just not good enough in a competition like the Big Bash when average scores are rather high. On the other side, the Sydney Sixers haven’t exactly been at their best this season, but they’ve still managed to win. That is something that would terrify its opponents. Many of the Sydney Sixers’ weaknesses have been hidden by Philippe and Henriques’ hitting form. For one thing, the rest of the lineup has had trouble getting going. James Vince is in third place, and he hasn’t received a single fifty or better score.
Match: Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers BBL.
Date: January 4th, 2022
Time: 01:45 PM IST.
Venue: Carrara Oval, Queensland.
Queensland is forecast to see temperatures ranging from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. Despite the fact that rain is expected in Queensland later this week, the current forecast indicates that the match will be dry.
The Carrara Oval’s pitch is quite decent for batting, and bowlers must be on their toes. Batters will love batting on this surface since the ball will come off the bat smoothly. A high-scoring competition looks to be in the cards. Winning the toss and fielding first should be the strategy for both sides going ahead.
Jimmy Peirson (c & wk), Xavier Bartlett, James Bazley, Mark Steketee, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Jack Wildermuth, Chris Lynn, Ben Duckett, Sam Heazlett, Max Bryant
Moises Henriques (c), Josh Philippe (wk) , Hayden Kerr, Shadab Khan, Ben Dwarshuis, Steve O’Keefe, James Vince, Daniel Hughes, Jordan Silk, Daniel Christian, Sean Abbott
Sean Abbott
Sean Abbott has been outstanding for the Sixers this season in the Twenty20 league. With an economy rate of 7.70, the right-arm fast bowler has 12 wickets in six games. He’s a dangerous possibility since he’s picked up a wicket per nine balls he’s bowled. Not to mention Abbott’s ability to use the willow to great effect.
Josh Philippe
In the current edition of the BBL, Josh Philippe has been on fire. With an average of 49.16 and a strike rate of 149.74, the right-hander has 295 runs in eight games. Philippe has given an account of his magnificent self on several occasions, scoring three half-centuries with a best score of an undefeated 99.
The Brisbane Heat won a crucial game against the Hobart Hurricanes last time out, but they’ll need to put up another strong showing if they want to beat the Sydney Sixers. Sam Heazlett has been Brisbane Heat’s best batsman in the league, with the most runs and sixes. Ben Duckett, on the other side, has the most fours and two fifty-plus scores.
The Sixers are in great shape to defend their title, having only lost one of their eight games thus far and will be anxious to get back into action after their game against the Melbourne Renegades was postponed. The bowling attack, led by the ever-reliable Sean Abbott, has performed excellently. This season, he has 12 wickets to his name, making him the Sydney Sixers’ leading wicket-taker. They’ve won their past four games, the most recent of which was against the Heat, and they should be able to do it again today as well.
Today’s match prediction: Brisbane Heat to win the match
