Shane Watson’s stint with RCB may not have produced his best numbers, but his overall value as a proven all-rounder was undeniable. After leaving Bengaluru, he rediscovered his top form and played several impactful knocks in later seasons. 

This includes his title-winning contributions for Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 edition. Considering his experience, power-hitting, and ability to deliver with both bat and ball, parting ways with Watson did not work out in RCB’s favour.
