Lahore Qalandars secured a convincing 20-run victory over Multan Sultans in a rain-shortened 13-over clash in PSL 2026. After losing the toss, Lahore batted first and scored an impressive 185 runs for five wickets in their innings, with explosive batting throughout. This shortened version of the match turned into a high-scoring contest with both sides scoring a lot of runs. Lahore had an aggressive intent from the start and took advantage of the opportunity provided by their top order to make it very difficult for Multan to win despite making a valiant attempt to chase down what was a huge total.

Mohammad Naeem started the innings off like a house on fire scoring 60 runs off 28 balls, while Parvez Hossain Emon contributed 45 runs from just 19 balls. Abdullah Shafique kept the momentum going with a swift 33 runs and the scoring rate by all of Lahore’s batsmen remained at a very high level. Although there were a couple of wickets in the middle overs of the innings, with contributions from Sikandar Raza and others, the innings finished very well. Multan's bowlers had a tough time trying to stop the flow of runs from Lahore's batsmen who were scoring runs freely all day long.

In response, Multan Sultans fought hard but fell short, finishing at 165/5 in their 13 overs. Ashton Turner played a valiant unbeaten knock of 52, while Shan Masood contributed a rapid 44 to keep the chase alive. However, timely wickets from Mustafizur Rahman and Ubaid Shah slowed their progress. Despite a late push, the required rate proved too steep, allowing Lahore to seal an impressive win and strengthen their position in the tournament.
