A bizarre moment took place during the Canada Super 60 in the 2026 season when a wide bouncer from Ali Khan flew over the boundary ropes for a six behind the wicket-keeper, despite the batter, Kieron Pollard, not getting any bat on the shot. That was a viral and maiden moment in the game to spread around the social media platforms.

The incident happened during the first semifinal of the Canada Super 60 at Vancouver between the Pollard-led side, Toronto Sixers, and the Sikandar Raza-led side, the Mississauga Masters, who went on to lose the contest.

Ali Khan's bouncer flies over Kieron Pollard and the rope

It was the fourth ball of the ninth over of the innings when Ali Khan came with full pace and tried to hurry Kieron Pollard with a bouncer. The ball was so much wide as the right-handed batter decided to spread his arms and let it fly away to the wicket-keeper.

Meanwhile, the wicket-keeper made a massive jump but failed to get even a touch on the ball, which went over the ropes of the tiny boundary for a massive six. That was the first time in the game, among being telecasted, where a team got seven runs through wide and a six.

It was extremely short and the keeper had no chance of getting any control of it. In the past, Jofra Archer bowled to Soumya Sarkar during the 2019 World Cup at the Sophia Garden in Cardiff, where the bail flew over the ropes.

How Toronto Sixers won the semi-final: Pollard's 40 and Gous's 33 beat Mississauga Masters

Batting first, the Toronto Sixers posted a massive score of 130 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 10 overs of the first innings. Imad Wasim, while opening batter cracked 26 runs off 13 balls, while Pollard, unbeaten on 40 runs off 16 balls, made a partnership of 79 runs with Andries Gous (33*) off just 4.5 overs.

The Master fell short of just nine runs in the chase. Alex Lees notched up 39 runs off 11 balls. George Munsey smacked 23 runs off 11 balls. Pakistan's Wasim bagged 2/19 in two years at an economy rate of 9.50.
