Arshad Khan's last-ball run out ties IND-A vs SL-A 4th ODI — Moves to super over
For the India-A side, the left-arm pacer, Arshad Kha, bowled a dramatic last over against Sri Lanka A to tie the contest and take it to a super over in Dambulla.

During the fourth game of the Tri Nation series 2026 between India A and Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, the former held their nerve in the 265-run defense against the home side to end up with a tied clash as Arshad Khan bowled superbly in the last over.
The pressure was on the Indian side, heading into the last over as Sri Lanka A needed only five runs off the six legal balls. Arshad Khan, who was excellent in the same role during the opening game of the series, was again trusted for the job.

The first ball of the final over from Arshad Khan to Sadeera Samarawickrama, who was on 93 off 111 balls, was full as the right-handed batter drove it straight back to the field at the mid-off region.

The second ball of the over made a massive difference as the left-arm pacer sent back the set batter for 93 runs off seven boundaries. The batter backed away and couldn’t get his bat down in line. The ball crashed into the base of the middle stump as the hosts still needed five runs off four balls.
The third ball of the over was on a good length as Mohmed Shiraz whipped it down to the long-on region for a single. The fifth ball was also hit for another single as they needed two runs off the final ball.

Arshad went for the full delivery into the legs of the batter, who got it on his legs and got the single. He tried to get back for the double, but India held their nerves and claimed the tie. The game went into the super over after several heated discussions between the players and umpires.

Earlier in the game, India A batted first and posted a decent score of 265 runs, after being under pressure at the initial stage of the game. But it was the vital 104-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Suryansh Shedge and Vipraj Nigam that took them to a strong score.
Shedge smashed a fine knock of 72 runs off 66 balls at a strike rate of 110 with the help of three boundaries and two sixes. Niam nailed 51 runs with six boundaries.

Sri Lanka A were in the clash and could have easily get over the line with their captain, Sadeera Samarawickrama, getting 93 runs with the help of seven boundaries. But it was Arshad Khan’s superb last over that took the game to the super over, where Sri Lanka finally got the win amidst heated spat. India are now under huge pressure with two losses in three games.
