The third and final T20I between Bangladesh and New Zealand will be played on May 1 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Bangladesh are leading the series 1-0 and will try to complete a clean sweep. New Zealand will try to win this match and level the series.

Bangladesh played very well in the first match and won by 6 wickets. New Zealand scored 182/6, but Bangladesh chased it easily. Towhid Hridoy scored 51* and helped his team win the game. Shamim Hossain also played a quick innings. With this win, Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead and now has a great chance to win the series.

New Zealand are under pressure now. They are playing with a young team and lost the first match. Although they posted a good total in the first match, their bowlers failed to defend it. Dane Cleaver and Katene Clarke got fifties but it was not enough. They will need a better bowling performance to stay competitive.

BAN vs NZ: Pitch Report

The Mirpur pitch is usually slow and helps spinners a lot. Batting becomes difficult, especially in the second innings. The ball does not come nicely onto the bat. Fast bowlers can get some help at the start, but later spinners become more useful. Batters need to play carefully and spend time at the crease. The average first innings score is around 150, so it may not be a very high-scoring match.
