Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on March 15. With the series level at 1-1, the last match will decide the winner, making it an exciting contest between the two teams.

Bangladesh started the series off well by posting an impressive victory in the first ODI. Unfortunately, the team performed very poorly in the second match, losing by 118 runs. While chasing a revised target of 243 runs in 32 overs, as rain interrupted the match, Bangladesh lost early wickets and failed to recover. Litton Das scored 41 runs, and Towhid Hridoy scored 28 runs, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to contribute as the team was bowled out for 114 runs. The hosts will now look to improve their batting performance in the deciding match.

Pakistan bounced back well after losing the opening game. In the second ODI, their batters produced a strong performance to post a total of 274 runs. Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat gave a solid start by posting 103 runs. Sadaqat played an attacking knock of 75 from 46 balls, while Mohammad Rizwan scored 44 and Salman Agha added 64. Pakistan’s bowlers then completed the job by dismissing Bangladesh for a low total and levelling the series.

BAN vs PAK: Pitch Report

The pitch at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium can sometimes help spinners, but in the first two ODIs it looked good for batting. Batters were able to play their shots and score runs comfortably. Teams that bat deep and rotate the strike well can post big totals here. Spinners may still play an important role in the middle overs if the pitch slows down later in the match.
