"De Kock is unstoppable!" - Twitter reacts after Quinton de Kock sets record-equalling century in IND vs SA 3rd ODI

In the ODI series decider against the hosts India, South African experienced batter Quinton de Kock smashed a powerful century to set a challenging total for the Proteas.

India finally won the toss and chose to field first in the last game of the three-match ODI series at Vizag, with the series tied at 1-1. Although the opener Ryan Rickelton was dismissed for a duck in the first over, the other opener Quinton de Kock and captain Temba Bavuma set up a solid partnership to build a good foundation in the first innings.

While De Kock had disappointing outings in the first two games of the ODI series, he showed his true class in the series decider. India is always his favourite opponent, and he once again proved it at Vizag.

Quinton de Kock equalled Sanath Jayasuriya's ODI centuries record against India

After completing his 50 in 42 balls, he completed his 23rd ODI century in 80 balls. It was his seventh ODI hundred against India, equalling the record of the most ODI centuries against India, as the former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya was previously held alone with seven hundreds.

While De Kock had a 113-run partnership with Bavuma for the second wicket, De Kock scored 106 off 89 balls with eight fours and six sixes. Prasidh Krishna ultimately bowled him in the 33rd over, when the Proteas were batting at 199/5.
