After Bengal chose to field first at Rajkot, Chandigarh scored 319 all out in 48.2 overs. Among the Bengal bowlers, Mukesh Kumar recorded a fifer, while the Indian experienced pacer Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets.

While the Chandigarh captain and opener Manan Vohra scored 122 off 127 balls with nine fours and two sixes, the other top-order batters scored 20s, including the opening partner Arjun Azad, who scored 31 off 18 balls. The middle-order batter Sanyam Saini scored 67 runs off 54 balls with six fours and four sixes.
