Glenn Phillips has established himself as one of the best fielders in the game, not only because of his superb catches around the field, but also because of how he makes them look easy for the others. And he displayed another such catch during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026, which went viral in a split second.
Phillips grabbed the catch and seemed to be surprised himself. The crowd, the fans, the commentators, and even the batter to be dismissed, Sunil Narine, were shocked at the catch. The wicket would go down as of Dwaine Pretorious, but it belonged to the fielder.

That was followed by Phillips sticking his right hand out at the correct time to grab the ball. He stood there in disbelief himself as Narine departed cheaply for just one run off two deliveries. The southpaw’s dismissal was very crucial for the Guyana side.

Their top order failed to contribute to the batting inside the powerplay before Shimron Hetmyer smashed a dashing unbeaten knock of 111 runs off 43 balls, thanks to eight boundaries and nine sixes, while Romario Shepherd nailed 27 runs off just seven balls.
In the chase, Trinbago Knight Riders were in the chase, thanks to their two knocks in the middle order in the form of Alex Hales’ 55 runs off 24 balls while the former West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran drilled 43 runs off 16 balls. But they fell short of the chase by just nine runs.
