Gujarat Giants Women signed three players at the WPL 2027 mini-auction held in Kochi on Wednesday. The team entered the auction with 15 retained players, having spent ₹13.75 crore on retentions. With ₹1.25 crore remaining in their purse, the franchise aimed to fill three squad spots, including one overseas slot.

Wicketkeeper-batter G. Kamalini was Gujarat Giants’ most expensive signing, joining the team for ₹40 lakh. The 18-year-old Indian player is a left-handed top-order batter and was the third-highest run-scorer at the 2024–25 ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. Ireland all-rounder Orla Prendergast was bought for ₹30 lakh. She adds value with both her middle-order batting and right-arm medium pace.

The Giants also signed 16-year-old Indian batter Samaira Raghav for her base price of ₹10 lakh. Known for her aggressive middle-order batting, she offers another attacking option to the team. With these three signings, Gujarat Giants completed their squad with 18 players for the WPL 2027 season.
