Mumbai Indians (MI) full squad after WPL auction 2027: List of players bought by MI

The two-time champions of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), the Mumbai Indians (MI), entered the auction of the tournament on October 28 in Kochi with a purse of INR 90 lakh, as they signed six uncapped players of the Indian side for INR 70 lakh. Out of these, their five uncapped players came at a base price of INR 10 lakh.

The former top-order batter of the UP Warriorz, Shweta Sehrawat, joined the Mumbai-based franchise for INR 20 lakh as the Delhi Capitals (DC) displayed interest in signing the player by raising their paddle only once in the auction.

In the 2027 edition of the Women’s Premier League, which begins on January 14, the Mumbai Indians can field as many as five overseas players because they have a player from the United States in their squad. As the WPL rules suggest, a team can field five overseas players if one of them is from an Associate nation.

The biggest aim for the Mumbai side in the auction was to find proper backup players, especially when one of the players gets injured or loses form, or a foreign player goes back home for international duties. Most of their players are set, giving them a strong balance in the playing XI.
