ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 — Full Squads of All 10 Teams Announced

New Zealand, who won the previous edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2024 by beating South Africa in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, will begin their title defence against the West Indies on June 13 at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton. 

The Amelia Kerr-led side will look to continue the same qualifying performance from the last edition. Meanwhile, the current ODI champions, India, who are yet to lift a T20 World Cup, will begin their campaign under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur against the arch-rivals, Pakistan, on June 13 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Another huge encounter of the tournament between India and Australia will take place on June 28 at Lord’s, which will also host the final a week later on July 05. The Kennington Oval in South London will host the semifinal.

ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 — Key Players to Watch and big names to watch out for in the upcoming global showdown

All eyes will be on Shafali Varma from the Indian side, who was the second leading run-getter for the Indian side in the previous T20 World Cup, with the help of 97 runs in four innings. Harmanpreet Kaur was excellent to finish the event as the fourth leading run-getter with 150 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 134.

Laura Wolvaardt from South Africa has been in fantastic form and will look to continue the same dominance in England. In the last season, she bagged 223 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 113.19. 

In the bowling department, the White Ferns’ captain, Amelia Kerr, who was the leading wicket-taker of the last event with 15 wickets in six innings at a strike rate of 9.06, will need to carry responsibility. For India, the focus will be on Deepti Sharma, especially in the middle overs, countering the opponent’s powerful batters.
