Just after dismissing the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter, Nitish Reddy, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Eliminator at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium, Mullanpur, in New Chandigarh, Ravindra Jadeja mocked the all-rounder with the famous Pushpa celebration. 

Rajasthan Royals posted a massive score of 243 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs before picking the top four wickets of the Hyderabad side inside the first five overs of innings, which put a massive pressure on the Pat Cummins-led side.

On the fifth delivery of the 11th over of the innings, Ravindra Jadeja sent back Reddy for 38 runs off 20 balls, as the Andhra Pradesh-born smashed three boundaries and a couple of sixes in the process.

It was a flat delivery through the air to Nitish Reddy from Jadeja. The right-handed batter slogged it towards the deep mid-wicket region. He didn’t time it well enough as Dasun Shanaka charged in from the deep and completed a safe catch in front of him.

Soon, after the dismissal, the Indian all-rounder mocked Reddy with the famous Pushpa celebration as he crossed his hand towards his neck like a sword. That was the last hope for the 2016 champions, who got knocked out of the IPL 2026.

Apart from the wicket of Reddy, Jadeja also got the better of Salil Arora for 35 runs off 21 balls, who nailed two boundaries and a couple of sixes in the process. The spinner was smashed for a towering six into the long-on region on the third ball of the 15th over of the innings.

On the fourth delivery of the over, the spinner changed the line to wide outside the off stump as Arora threw the kitchen sink at it. He slicked it towards the deep extra cover where Nandre Burger took a sharp catch. The Gujarat-born ended with figures of 2/21 in three overs.

Sunrisers got bundled out for 196 runs in the chase as they fell short of the target by 47 runs. The Royals qualfiied for the seocnd qualifier where they would face the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the same venue.
