Watch: KKR Lose Two Unlucky Wickets vs DC | IPL 2026
Kolkata Knight Riders lost two early wickets of Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Finn Allen during the DC vs KKR clash of the IPL 2026.

Chasing 143 runs in their allotted 20 overs during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Delhi Capitals (DC), the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) needed a strong start with the bat inside the powerplay to shoulder them to a clinical position. But luck didn’t favor them at the start, losing two unlucky wickets in the second innings.
Delhi perhaps dreamt of such a start where he put the middle order of the 2024 champions under pressure with two quick wickets. The KKR captain, Ajinkya Rahane, and their number three batter, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, found themselves at the wrong end of the entire proceedings.
How did Ajinkya Rahane get run out in the DC vs KKR IPL 2026 chase?
Rahane took them to a flying start with the bat as he made room and punched the short ball from Axar Patel through the covers for a boundary. He pulled the length delivery from Mitchell Starc over the deep square leg region for a massive six. But fortune didn’t favor him in the evening.

On the last delivery of the third over, Rahane’s opening partner, Finn Allen, drove the length delivery straight back to the non-striking end. Starc stretched his hand out to grab the ball, but it brushed his hand instead and deflected onto the sumps at his end. The KKR captain was outside his crease, and his cameo of 13 runs in nine balls came to an end.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi was watchful for the first couple of balls. He swept Axar Patel’s fuller-length delivery on the leg stump as the ball flicked the gloves and rolled back onto the stumps. It all happened in very slow motion.
It was a wise decision from the wicket-keeper, KL Rahul, not to hold the ball as he went back to break the stumps. KKR lost both wickets early in the chase. However, Allen didn’t let it put him off as he celebrated his maiden IPL century in just 47 balls, thanks to five boundaries and 10 sixes at a strike rate of 212.77 to complete the chase by 14.2 overs.
