Know all the latest details of the defending champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), ahead of the mini auction of the 2026 season of the tournament.

Ahead of the upcoming mini-auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), held a two-day camp in Navi Mumbai. Their management called 15 players for the trials to check their skills and temperament before putting a bid on December 16 in Abu Dhabi during the auction.
Rahul Tripathi, who was part of the Chennai Super Kings in the previous season of the league and smashed only 55 runs in five innings at an average of 11 and a strike rate of below 100, with the best score of 23, was called for the batting trial, as Royal Challengers Bengaluru will keep an eye on the Maharashtra batter for their middle order. In his last game against Goa, he smashed an unbeaten knock of 83 runs.
Navdeep Saini and Suyash Sharma were also part of the camp. The former featured in an IPL game two years ago for the Rajasthan Royals, for whom he picked up three wickets in two innings at an average of around 25 and a strike rate of 12.

Saini can be important in the middle overs for his pace. Moreover, he can also be a good backup option in case their first-choice players pick up an injury in the middle of the season. Suyash, on the other hand, collected eight wickets in 14 innings at an average of 55 last year for the Bengaluru side and will remain under their attention in the auction.
The wicket-keeper batter of Rajasthan, Karthik Sharma, also attended the trials and earned praising words from Dinesh Karthik, the mentor of RCB, who also had Kerala batter, Rohan Kunnummal, and Maharashtra’s Prashant Solanki in the camp.
“I’ve attended trials for six to seven franchises so far. Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Chennai, RCB, RR, Delhi. My practice matches in Chennai have gone well. Mahi Bhaiya didn’t come. But the other staff were there and said that they had enjoyed my batting.” Karthik Sharma expressed in an interview.
