Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated another night of history-making as they defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the final of the IPL 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. While RCB players were busy dancing to celebrate their second consecutive IPL title, one hilarious moment involving Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli went viral on social media.

Once the RCB had lifted the IPL 2026 trophy, the players gathered for team photography on the field. Most of the RCB players had shown their two fingers to celebrate the franchise’s consecutive IPL titles.
However, Indian vetren all rounder chose to act differently. He held up five fingers with pride, reminding everyone that he has now won five IPL trophies in career. Kohli saw the immediately and started laughing, also Rajat Patidar smiled at the moment.

Krunal earlier won three IPL titles with Mumbai Indians, in 2017, 2019 and 2020. He has now bagged two more trophies with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2025 and 2026, taking his total tally to 5 IPL titles.

Krunal Pandya later shared his happiness after winning his fifth IPL trophy. Speaking after the final, the RCB all-rounder reflected on what the achievement meant to him after more than a decade in the tournament.
"Winning trophies has always been my biggest motivation in cricket because there's no feeling quite like lifting a championship. Individual performances and match wins bring happiness, but winning a tournament is something truly special."
He further added, "Throughout my career, I've always visualised and manifested success at the team level, and I've been fortunate enough to be part of sides that have achieved that. To win a fifth IPL trophy in eleven years is incredibly satisfying, and I'm grateful for the journey and the opportunities that have come my way."
Krunal was also instrumental in RCB’s IPL 2026 title-winning journey. The all-rounder made 226 runs and took 14 wickets in 16 games as Bengaluru retained their IPL crown.

RCB dominated the final from the beginning. After winning the toss, Rajat Patidar chose to bowl first and the decision worked perfectly. Gujarat Titans struggled to score freely and finished on 155/8 in 20 overs. Washington Sundar was the top scorer with an unbeaten 50 runs.
RCB's bowlers were superb throughout the innings. Rasikh Salam was outstanding with the ball (3/27), followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, who doubled the pressure on Gujarat by taking two wickets each.
In pursuit of 156, RCB started well with Venkatesh Iyer slamming 32 runs off 16 balls. Virat Kohli then played his part in the chase with an unbeaten 75-ball 42, where he smashed nine fours and three sixes. RCB chased down the target in 18 overs and wrapped up a comfortable five-wicket win to successfully defend their IPL title.
